Dbee Nanna D Robinson Hi Dbee, A trace route can show you a few different things about this kind of issue. If it stops immediately then it is usually the ISP and if it slows or stops in the middle then it is an internet route point. Sometimes issues like these clear up on their own as internet route points are repaired and ISPs clear their blocks. But if we can determine what it is you may be able to request it be fixed a bit faster by the ISP if that is the issue. To perform a tracert on Windows: 1. Go to your Start Menu and then click Run 2. Type "cmd" to open the command prompt window 3. Type "tracert fatcow.com" in the window 4. Once previous command is finished right click and select all, then hit enter. 5. Hitting enter copies the content and you can now paste it into your response here. For a tracert on MAC: 1. Open a new Finder window, and choose Applications > Utilities 2. From the Utilities folder, double-click on the Terminal icon 3. At the prompt, type the following: traceroute fatcow.com 4. Jacob Sears Dear Fatcow,

I cannot recommend your service to my friends or family. One of your agents signed me up for a plan (The customer appreciation plan) which a.) I was completely unable to sign up for via your site, and b.) once I called your support and got signed up, the plan was pretty much broken, missing file managers and other critical aspects. Then, when technical support was called (who told me that stuff was missing), she tells me that to actually use my site like I need to (which was just basic wordpress), I need to pay extra money (another 20 dollars on top of what I paid) to actually be able to do that.

When I called back to complain to the sales rep, to tell them that it seems I was essentially sold a broken plan, intentionally, he proceeded to listen and then suggest I get onto the 3 year for ~$110 plan, which is exactly NOT what I needed. I bought the cheapest plan because I'm tight on money, and it seemed like a decent deal, like I would still be able to do what I needed...

Dave Mochinski The problems always start when I renew my SSL certificate. Even though it was not due for another 2 months. They do this everytime and I am the one that looses out on the deal because now it's going to take them up to 2 days to fix what they screwed up. FatCow Hello Matt, As a small to medium hosting provider we offer many options to get an online presence for a business started online. A moderate mail system is included as it is a necessity for businesses to get started online. As we are not a dedicated mail service we did have to put a limit on mail usage. We highly recommend using a POP client like Outlook, Mac Mail, or Gmail to download a copy of the mail from the servers for safe keeping - and so you can keep the server cleared for the most part. We further provide growing businesses Exchange Email services with larger boxes and sync capabilities for a fee. Here is some further information: http://www.fatcow.com/product/exchangebasic.bml If an even larger box is needed then it is something where that business has likely outgrown shared hosting or at least needs a dedicated mail solution instead of shared. Matt Henzel Can someone please explain why I was charged yesterday for something that I was told I would be billed on 2/15/13 for?

I received this email from you:
"A payment for your "spoonman" account is due on 2/15/2013.

Your "spoonman" account is scheduled to renew on
2/15/2013. To ensure uninterrupted service for your website and
email, your account will automatically be billed on 2/15/2013"

And today saw this on my credit card:

I still haven't made up my mind which service I will be going with.
The price of my 2 year plan has gone way up and Godaddy offers the same deal for 50% less. Unless you can work with me on the price a bit I'm going to have to switch.

I've also had quite a few problems with my files not showing up after uploading them to the FTP. The Fatcow tech told me there was an error with my .htaccess file, but I never touched it so I don't know...
